Is There Really a Conflict In Here or Is It Just Me?

Registration is closed for this event
Another free community-focused Professional Development event sponsored by the East Side Conflict Resolution Outreach project. The lead presenter for this session is Denise Vecellio.

Does the way we interpret facts create conflict where there may not be any?

How does your "normal" affect how you interpret situations? Using the FIDO model (Fact, Interpretations, Decision, Outcome) participants will explore the ways that the interpretations we attach to incidents can dramatically affect our actions. We'll also examine some creative approaches being used to communicate with incarcerated juveniles that opens up new avenues for real communication while reducing unnecessary conflicts.
